What is a pharmacy blood testing service?

It lets a pharmacy offer private blood tests to the public: a trained member of staff takes the sample, it is analysed by an accredited laboratory, and the patient receives their results securely online.

Which blood tests can my pharmacy offer?

Over 700 individual tests and 140+ health profiles, covering health checks, hormones, thyroid, diabetes, heart health, vitamins and minerals, fertility, infections and more, plus 18 at-home test kits.

How do pharmacies earn from blood tests?

For every completed booking, the pharmacy earns commission on the test price plus a phlebotomy fee for the blood draw. Earnings and monthly statements are tracked in the portal.

Who analyses the samples?

Testing is carried out by Medical Diagnosis, a UKAS ISO 15189 accredited partner laboratory.

Do I need my own phlebotomist?

Each branch needs at least one member of staff with a phlebotomy competency certificate before it can take bookings. Phlebotomy training is available for your staff, and pharmacies without a phlebotomist can still sell at-home kits or refer patients to a partner clinic.

Is there a cost to join?

There are no upfront costs, no laboratory contracts and no setup fees. You earn commission and a phlebotomy fee on every completed test.

How are samples collected?

Sample collection is free of charge from selected locations, and the logistics to the laboratory are managed for you.

How do you bring patients to my pharmacy?

Through local online marketing, search visibility and online booking, nearby customers looking for a blood test are directed to your pharmacy, increasing footfall.

Can we offer more than blood tests?

Yes. As well as single tests, health profiles and at-home kits, you can offer urine tests, private GP consultations and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). GP and TRT services are delivered through Medical Diagnosis Victoria, a CQC-registered provider, following medical assessment by GMC-registered doctors.

How do patients get their results?

Results are delivered through the secure Results Portal, where patients see each marker explained, highlighted if out of range, and tracked over time.

Does it work for pharmacy groups?

Yes. One owner login covers every branch, with manager and staff roles limited to their own sites.

How quickly can we start?

Once your account is set up and your insurance, terms and phlebotomy certificates are uploaded, your branch can start taking bookings straight away.
